I am in love with patina, and I don’t care who knows it! From worn and weathered silvery wood on a vintage coffee table to that chipping paint on an old grape harvesting bucket… the charm of weathered patina is absolutely irresistible.

Patina adds character. It speaks to the history of a piece and tells a story. And in each of my rooms you will find a sprinkling of it. I am a big believer in the power of patina and what it adds to your home and I’m sharing a few of my favorite pieces with you today.
1. Weathered and Worn
The weathered patina on this stool from HomeGoods is perfect for mixing with the elegant marble and softness of the peonies, adding that interesting element. Although the stool is brand new, I love how it feels like it is 100 years old and even has knots in the wood.

2. Chippy Painted Patina
The chipping paint on this vintage bench adds an abundance of charm being used as a coffee table. The layers of wood and finish are chipping away to reveal bits of bare wood, and the teal color gives the room a pop of color.

3. Carved and White Washed
Out on the patio it is all about those carvings and white-washed patina. White washing is a great look that compliments several styles, and that definitely shakes up the all new pieces on the patio.

Think of patina as a way to bring in charm to your decor. Whether it is a hand-rubbed dark wood or a chipping piece of furniture or something even smaller, a piece with patina tells a story in your home.
